Tami's Camp Recount
On Tuesday 4Th May I was up early ready to go to camp. I loaded my luggage onto my boat. My dad hooked the boat up to the car.My parents took me to Motutapu Island on our boat because I was sick when everyone else came on Monday when everyone else went on the ferry.
When I arrived my friends were waiting for me at the beach. I said farewell to my mum and dad and I went to get ready for my first activity which was..... The confidence course. It was a nice activity to start off with because it was simple and relaxing.
After lunch I had my second activity which was the high ropes. I was soooooooooo looking forward to the activity because last year we did low ropes and I really enjoyed it! High ropes is really my sort of thing! I was really proud of my self because i tried, and completed all the obstacles on high ropes.
My last activity for the day was straight after afternoon tea and if I can remember right it was Orienteering. Ally and I were on a team and we were so close to coming first but we had one wrong.
When orienteering was over we went and got ready for dinner.
DAY 2
It was an early morning at 6:20am. I got up and started sorting my bag for room inspection.
After breakfast I had my first activity which was how I would have it every day.
Our daily routine was: wake up, get ready for room inspection, go for breakfast, get ready for first activity, after the first activity we had morning tea and then we did our second activity. After lunch we did our last activity of the day followed by afternoon tea and then free time until dinner. After dinner we did some evening activities.
I really loved all the activities but my favourite was:
Survivor: I love survivor because it was really cool. We went through tires, up and over walls, walked across wires and heaps more. My favourite part of survivor was when at the tend of the activity I jumped in the mud pull and pulled Ally and Kim in with me.
The food was really yummy I especially loved the Milo before bed every night.
The walk back was long but not boring. Ally, Amber and I were talking the whole time and laughing every second they told me stories about when they were walking there and what happened when they got to camp on Monday.
When we got on the ferry I chose a top seat but it was too cold so I went inside but there were no seats left so I sat on the deck with Ally. We are both very convinced that we had the best seat!
When we got to Half moon bay I searched for my things and got off the ferry. I then went to find my mum who was waiting for me.
The End.
