TECH: Brilliant Balloons
Today in tech we inflated balloons with only baking soda and vinegar. We did it 3 times. This is how we did it..........................
1. Put 10mls of vinegar into a flask (like one in the picture) and put 1tsp of baking soda into the ballon.
2. Put the balloon opening over the top of the flask without letting any baking soda escape.
3. Once the balloon is on properly, tip out the baking soda.
4. The Balloon should start to inflate while the baking soda and the vinegar mixes.
In the picture thats how the balloon should be over the flask top.
I'll have to try that it sounds really interesting. Was baby lemon made this way!
ReplyDeleteThat was from Greer
ReplyDeleteWho is baby lemon? ...
ReplyDeleteHey and great to see some sharing about what has been happening in Specialist Science. I think that my wife did this with our son, only she used a plastic zip lock bag and sealed it... I think that the end result was a small pop as the bag expanded as far as it could go.
What can you tell us about the chemical reaction that happened in this experiment...?
